Submissions to the Living in Moscow Facebook Page

If you would like to share information on our Facebook page, please read on! We kindly ask you to follow our rules (and reserve the right to delete posts, links, photos, etc. that are not made in full compliance with the below):

Fun Stuff is not a commercial newsletter. While we will consider including one-time (first-time) ads for family-friendly commercial services (we define these as any services for which money is charged - regardless of whether you are an organization or a private individual), we would ask that you consider make a donation of your choice (money or pet food/supplies) to Moscow Animals in exchange for your ad. The shelters Moscow Animals supports are in constant need of money for surgery and other medical care as well as canned and dry dog and cat food and staples such as rice and buckwheat. Ads from organizations/companies/individuals providing services for money will no longer be repeated free of charge - even if the content is slightly different. Ads for which a donation to Moscow Animals has been made are marked by a small Moscow Animals banner next to them.

The above does not concern the following:

Information provided by embassies, religious organizations and announcements from women's clubs and other social organizations. Information on any groups/meetings that do not charge fees for attending. Information on upcoming events (concerts, theater performances, balls, etc.). Anything relating to charity (volunteers wanted, items wanted, cards for sale, etc.). Rescued pets in need of new homes. Job offers and job wanted ads. Available and wanted household help (only information submitted by individuals is published free of charge). Items for sale (private ads only) and wanted items. Apartments & dachas available (private one-time ads and only where no commission is charged – ads from real estate agencies cannot be accepted for publication in Fun Stuff). Apartments & dachas wanted. Sports (unless the ad is for a profit-making event or where entrance fees are charged that do not go to charity). Questions.

Contributions must be family-friendly. They must be submitted in good, spell-checked English. We are unable to assist with translations and also do not provide proofreading or editing services. Text contributions must be submitted in Word format (.doc) - preferable - or in the body of your e-mail message. We do not accept any other formats for text publications (no pdf files!).

Any photos accompanying your text submission must be attached as separate high-resolution .jpg or .JPEG files. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to use/publish photos that have been embedded in word files and also cannot extract photos from pdf files! If the resolution of your photo(s) isn't high enough, there's nothing we can do to improve the quality. .jpg, .JPEG and .png files are the ONLY acceptable file formats for ready-made ads! Pdf files or any other file formats cannot not be accepted.
